Description of the flag

The decree n.o 5930 [here as typed by Jaume Ollé, 29 Aug 2000], of 1992.10.21, adopts as the provincial flag the flag of the Andes Army, meaning that it is exactly as it is displayed on the Mendoza Government House. As the flag is not shown on a pole I dont know the right way of hoist it. The flag shows the coat of arms in the correct position, on two horizontal stripes of white over blue. You may remember that the flag is exibited as a standart or banner, as it is much higher than wide. The regulation does not specify how to hoist the flag. Therefore we may think that the proper way should be not on regular pole but from a "T"-type pole. Nothing was legislated about the right way of representing it. The law says nothing about this subject.
Gustavo Tracchia, 07 Feb 2000

The correct sizes are 122 × 144 cm, from a photo of the original flag that I took in a museum.
