As there is no legal provision for municipal flags, many of the municipalities just use the colours of the Land Salzburg (red-white) with the municipal coat-of-arms (information from the Salzburg state archives). See Neukirchen am Grossvenediger and my recent observations in Leogang. Others seem to use two or three colours from their coat-of-arms, but without any official adoption or involvement of the state archives.

I did some search on the WWW for actual flag images, plus some browsing for pictures in regional historical books, and will give you the result over the next days. However, I have as yet only information (in some cases fragmentary) on 18 out of 119 municipalities (15%).

I have now sent images and information of 20 municipal flags (out of 120 Salzburg municipalities). I do have some preliminary and fragmentary information about 6 others, but totally lack knowledge of the flags (if existing) of the remaining municipalities.
