It is a lavishly illustrated and well written book on Texas flags from Spanish and Mexican days through the Texas War Of Independence, the American Civil War and post-war years, into Texas units serving in the Spanish-American War and World War 1. The flag are depicted either as color illustrations or color photographs. The book is very well researched and the copious footnotes make for fine reading alone!
