Title: Flaggenbuch (Fla. B.)
(in English: Flagbook)
Medium: book
Secondary author(s): Edwin Redslob, Reichskunstwart
Edition (publisher: place): Reichs-Marine-Amt: Berlin (Germany)
Language: German (High)
Edition date: 1926 (2nd ed.)
Previous edition: [ruh05]
Pages: 116 (plus corrections)
Format: 279×210 mm
Remarks: precursor of the famous [neu39]

Sets of corrections (Deckblätter) were issued on seven occasions:

  1. 5 Jan 1927 [rwm27a],
  2. 4 Oct 1927 [rwm27b],
  3. 14 Jun 1928 [rwm28a],
  4. 18 Nov 1929 [rwm29],
  5. 15 Sep 1931 [rwm31a],
  6. 1 Dec 1934 [rwm34a] and
  7. 28 Feb 1936 [rwm36a],
adding up to 422 correction sheets (some for individual flags, some for whole pages). This edition was superseded by the well-known Flaggenbuch 1939. Reichskunstwart (sort of Minister of Art) Edwin Redslob encouraged Neubecker and Valentin in 1928 to publish Die deutschen Farben.
Santiago Dotor, 10 May 2002

The later Deckblätter were perhaps authored by Neubecker, but we do not know for sure.
Marcus Schmöger, 28 Dec 2003

It is not easy to find the several Flaggenbuch issues in German libraries (I recently got the “official” information, that no copy of the 1893 Flaggenbuch exists in a German public library); and it is even more difficult to find the correction sheets, especially for the 1926 Flaggenbuch as there had been a lot of them.
