About the Flag of Chapadinha

The flag was adopted by municipal decree-law no. 353 of 24 November 1967. The sky blue (azul céu, not azul celeste) field represents the heavens, the horizontally oriented cross the Christian religious spirit of the people, and the white color of the cross, peace. In the upper hoist are the five stars that form the constellation of the Southern Cross, which represent the faith, hope, charity, justice, and loyalty of the Chapadinhense people. A very pretty design, in my opinion.
