About the Flag of Monte Alto

According to law no. 309 of 15 July 1959, the flag of Monte Alto is composed of the colors black, red, green, blue, and white. The red, white, and blue, in three equal bands, form the field of the flag. The black, covering the part of the red band in the upper left [hoist] corner, serves as a base for the coat of arms of the municipality. The green, in the form of a star, is in the center of the flag on the white band. The flag was designed by Joćo Batista Freire de Andrade.
