City flag

The flag of Drummondville is said to exist at their website where it is said to have been raised with the Quebec flag and with the flag of the "Cégep de Drummondville", the educational institution on the website of which I found this information.

The article has some lines about the Québec flag, and some about Drummondville flag and the Cégep flag. Anyway, in spite of being entitled "le drapeau de Drummondville", it only shows the coat of arms of Drummondville and gives no detail about the flag itself. Similar thing with the supposed flag of the Cégep : only description and image of the logo. Maybe these two flags are simply white with respectively the coat of arms and the logo.

Indeed the flag of Drummondville exists: 1:2, white, with the arms centered, and the word DRUMMONDVILLE in yellow capital letters with a black outline underneath the arms. Observed in the Fall of 1998.

I saw this flag in the Fall of 1998. Translated from the city website:

The arms used for half a century are a combination of the arms of Frederick George Heriot, founder of the city, and those of the Nugent family, that of the founder's mother. The shield is mounted with a golden mural crown, symbol of civic authority. The motto "Fortem posce animum" means "Asks for a strong soul". Gold symbolizes strength and riches, silver represents purity. Blue is for justice, loyalty and beauty; red is for charity, justice and heroism; green is for youth, hope, optimism, confidence in the future and an enterprising spirit.
