The orange logo was adopted in 1976. It evokes the tree of life, an open flower and a person with open arms. The three spheres represent ethnic diversity, and the three main ethnic groups at the time (French, English and Jewish), though today Saint-Laurent boasts citizens from 166 different countries. Beaudoin also reports this flag. This flag is now used as the Saint-Laurent borough flag.
