Aš, Cheb districy Karlovy Vary region - adopted 8 Jun 2004 - at this webpage. The similarity with the (unofficial) flag of Scheveningen (Netherlands) is striking.

Aš city old flag

[As city flag] by Jarig Bakker, 3 Apr 2001

Aasch: modification of the former flag; horizontally striped White over Blue (2:1); on the White stripe the city arms.
Jaume Ollé,  20 Sep 1999

It is now As (Aš - s with a v on top), in the extreme west of the Czech Republic. Some time ago I browsed through some Egerlander sites and I think I saw it spelled as Aasch; the German name most used is Asch. The CoA is at this site.
Jarig Bakker, 9 Mar 2001

The city of Aasch (better: Asch) is a Czech city in the extreme west of Bohemia, near to the German border. Asch is the German name, the Czech name is Aš.
