Bocanovice is a village with 440 inhabitants. Description of the Coat of Arms: on a green field a striding stork argent. Legend has it that here a lot of storks ("Bozianer") gathered many years after each other, until the fields were completely white.
Source: This webpage. The first written trace of this village dated back to 1597. The area of the village is 377 ha. There are 407 people living there. The village was incorporated in Jablunkov. In 1990 it regained independence.
