Sviadnov municipality flag

Number of inhabitants by 31.12. 2000: 1308.The village was founded in the 13th century. In the period from 1943 to 1954 and from 1975 to 1991 the village was a part of the town of Frýdek-Místek. Major constructions in the village include the grammar school (1867) and chapel (1887). In 1903 a public inn was built. By 1971 construction of the gym was completed. Sviadnov is the industrial and agricultural village situated near by the big town.
