Klimkovice municipality flag

The flag of the town of Klimkovice (Moravosilesian Region) is horizontally red over green, with the Bohemian lion. See "Foto z
jarmarku" at this website. Number of inhabitants by 1.1. 2002: 3756. Before World War I the town was known as "town of Klimkovice shoemakers". The town was probably found by King Přemysl Otakar II. The present name was first mentioned 1420. Petr Bezruč´s park is the present name of the former chateau park with many exotic woody species. The town is connected with novel by Jarmila Glazarová who lived there in 1918 - 1934. There are arcades in the square.
