Number of inhabitants by 31.12. 2000: 362. The first written trace of the village dated back to 1389. Uhlíøov is the smallest village in the south-west of the district of Opava. The village is much under influence of Opava. Production and economic function of the village has not developed enough, since most economically active people commute and work out of the village.
