Ostrožská Nová Ves, District Uherske Hradiste, is a village, known
from the first half of the 13th century. Originally it was named Dlouhy
Radek (Longenczyl, in modern German Lange Zeile (long row)) or Dlouha Ves
(Longa villa). As Nova Ves it is mentioned in the first half of the 15th
century.
In 1994 the commune got the CoA based on the old seal.
The flag: seven horizontal stripes: WBYRYBW (1:2:1:1:1:2:1). The ratio
is 2:3.
