Image after Petr Exner's Vexilologický Lexikon prapory obcí ČR (1998) - ©krdlovice, ®ďár Nad Sázavou district, Vysocina region - adopted 19 Feb 1998 - CoA at this site - it has an English part where we read: "The village has got 581 permanent residents (in 179 houses) with their average age being 38. The name of the village comes from the colonization times and has been derived from a personal name of the first settler called Skrle, that is why Skrlovice. During the process of the language development the letter "d" was added, which formed a remarkable and unique (both in this country and in the world) name of Skrdlovice with the five independently standing consonants at the beginning of the word.".
