Introduction

This is the flag of the Deutsche Jugend des Ostens — German Youth of the East. Its political aim was the reconquista of the [former German] territories at present owned by Poland and Russia [Pomerania, Posen, West and East Prussia and Silesia], connected to the Vertriebene. Its emblem is a so-called Odalsrune. Read all (and far more) in Rabbow 1970. This kind of organisation was prohibited in East Germany, so it was definitely West German. Local parties plastered nostalgic coat-of-arms on these flags, which seem to have been quite numerous. The <
