Description

Neubecker 1992 [neu92] contains a plate with the flags of Danzig, and here we find a state ensign, like the ordinary flag —two white crosses placed over each other with a golden crown on top— with a swallowtail cut out of the fly end. Both flags are 2:3 in ratio.

Jan Oskar Engene, 25 June 1996

Like the civil ensign, but swallow-tailed. In use 1920-1939.

Norman Martin, 20 January 1998

Ratio 2:3. Angle of the swallotailed cut is 90°. Caption: "Wird von allen im Staatseigentum stehenden, zu Amtshandlungen benutzten Fahrzeugen, insbesondere Polizei-, Loften- und Zollfahrzeugen, geführt" i.e. "shall be hoisted on all vehicles owned by the State in official service, especially police, pilot and customs vehicles".
