Description

The Gemeinde Ottenhofen adopted arms on 28th September 1982, blazon: Gules, a dragon contourné Or holding a capital S in the mouth, on a chief Argent a rose Gules barbed and seeded Or. At the same time a flag of red-white was adopted, showing the arms. The older flags actually show this pattern, but more recent flags are white-red instead of red-white. Probably the flagmaker made a mistake, as the dragon in the arms is facing sinister, not as usually dexter, thus mirroring the whole design.
