Red pennant with rectangular indentation on the fly with a white cross
throughout. As it is a naval pennant (dark red) there would presumably be a
formal requirement for dimensions.

Flaggenbuch (1939) shows a
different split in the pennant, with construction details: indentation 1/3
length, cross at 1/6 length from hoist, length 1-7.5 m.

Flaggenbuch (1992) reprint of
1941 edition shows similar construction details: indentation 1/3 length, cross
at 1/6 length from hoist, length 1-15 m, white cross width at hoist 1/3 of
hoist. However, the fly width, the width of the white stripe at the fly, the
shape (and width & length) of the indentation are not defined. I just can't
believe that these things are not defined and that we should be looking into
Danish regulations for the answers. However, I do believe that it is different
from what many sources show. The fly end does not end into two points, but is
rather "cut off" vertically, just as are all those triangular pennants. Also I
believe that the indentation is yet lesser then the white stripe at fly. I
believe that the third image above would be at this moment the best we can
do...unless someone comes out with some new information.
