Description

Bermeo's flag is used so much in the proportion 2:3 like in 1:2. Though it is adopted by the population, it is not regulated officially.

City Standard

Bermeo's standard is used by the Municipal Council at official events and when they attend civic and religious processions. It presides over the Room of Plenary sessions of the Town Hall close to the Basque flag. Its use is regulated officially from 1995.

The flag of the Mayor is hoisted on the ship in which the Mayor embarks on the festivity of Saint Mary Magdalen (July 22), when every year Bermeo confirms its jurisdiction on Izaro's island.
