Crests [sic] a crown Or [actually an open royal crown proper] and a white scroll with the inscription "Technica Impendi Nationi" in black lettering. The oval has a white oval with golden lettering, "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" [actually no "de"].The statutes were adopted by Royal Decree 2536/1985 of 27th December 1985, published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado of 22nd January 1986. There may be a later university inner order approving the flag, but I have been unable to find it. A large image of the arms is available
