The French movie "Le mariage du siecle" (international title, "Marriage of the Century") was made by Philippe Galland in 1985. The movie relates the marriage of the blundering crown princess of an imaginary kingdom, played by Anemone. The day before her planned marriage with a Grand Duke of her family, the princess secretely went to Paris and was seduced by a cynical playboy, played by Thierry Lhermitte.

A lot of flags are shown in the movie. We see the national flag of the imaginary kingdom first as a car flag, then hoisted over the royal palace. The last section of the film relates the marriage. Hundreds of flags waved by the enthusiastic crowd are seen, as well as big flags hanging over the cathedral where the cahotic marriage takes place.

The flag of the kingdom (I cannot remember its name, if ever mentioned in the movie) is clearly inspired by Scandinavian flags. It is blue with an orange cross and a light blue fimbriation around the cross. This fimbriation has a very low contrast and cannot be seen clearly in all scenes showing the flag.
