Lonely Planet

[Nation of Islam]
by ivan sache

In the TV-documentary of the "Lonely Planet" series devoted to New York, there is a short scene filmed in an information centre of the "Nation of Islam" movement (the black/moslim movement directed by Reverend Louis Farrakhan). The flag of the movement is shown applied on the wall and on stickers. It is described by the manager of the centre as "the symbol of unity of all Muslims througout the World". The flag is an horizontally-mirrored version of the national Turkish flag (i.e. with crescent opposed and pointing to hoist).
