Flag of the department

The departemental flag has a red field charged with the coat of arms of the departement. Unsurprisingly, the departement has retained for coat of arms the arms of Bourbonnais. The flag is used in the city of Moulins.

The coat of arms can be described as follows:

D'azur semé de fleurs de lys d'or, à la cotice de gueules brochant sur le tout.
