Orebic is a small town at the tip of the Peljeac
peninsula (Peljeac is maybe also known to some for its
Italian name Sabioncello). There are about 5,000 inhabitants,
about the half of them living in the city itself. The inhabitants
of Orebic were traditionally captains of some fame, serving on
many large ships. The surrounding valleys are famous for very
quality vines, probably the most well know being the red wine
Dingac. The symbols in the coat of arms should therefore be quite
logical choice. Gules a navigational instrument or and in the
canton a bunch of grapes azure slipped of the second.
