Overview

The coat of arms is Gules, a Semi Lion rampant Or langued and armed of the field holding a sword Argent hilt and pommel of the second, issuant from a Water-mill Wheel of the third. The shield is bordered Or, and set between an oak and a lime branches Or both fructed, and below all a ribbon of the same, background Gules, bearing the name of the city Sable.
Water mills are characteristic item on many waterfalls on the four rivers on which Slunj is lying. The flag is blue with the shield of arms set in the middle. There exists also a ceremonial flag, a blue vertical banner with full coat of arms in the middle, but the exact shape and ornamentation is not known. Adopted: around 1995 (?).
