Overview

Kloštar Podravski, community of about 5800 inhabitants about 30 km SE from Koprivnica and about 5 km SE of
Šurdevac (down the river Drava). The coat of arms image is shown on the primary school site while the CoA and flag are described in the 2001 statutes issued in the official gazette (available on -line at <www.glasila.hr>): Statut Opcine Kloštar Podravski, 20. rujna 2001. Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, br. 11/01, god. IX, 5. listopada 2001.
The coat of arms showes in a blue shield silver representation of the Holly Familly fleing to Egypt with golden stars as halos. It is said in the Statutes that this is the historical coat of arms of Kloštar Podravski, though more details are not provided.
The flag is blue with yellow bordered coat of arms in the middle.
On a side note, the compositon has a certain "European" feeling, I guess due to the yellow stars in blue. I don't think that this was particularly intentional.
