Overview

On a TV report today I noticed the coat of arms and the flag of Fažana, the community established only in year 2000 . Fažana is in the Istrian County (Italian name Fasana), situated northwest of Pula just outside it - on the coats across the channel from the famous Brijuni Islands resort. Fazana actually includes the Brijuni island group.   The coat of arms is azure an antique amphore or.   Fazana was site of the amphore production and export and no doubt that is the reason for choosing this emblem. The flag is (dark) blue with the coat ofarms bordered golden in the middle.
