Overview

Novska is a city in Sisak-Mosavina County, some 10 km north of confluence of Una into Sava, somewhere on the historical border between historical Croatia proper and Slavonia.
The symbols must have been adopted about 1999, however since the on-line official gazette (<www.glasila.hr>) has issues from 2000 only, one can find only latter decisions. These are certianly interesting too: Statutarna odluka o grbu i zastavi Grada Novske, 5.07.2000. Službeni vjesnik, br. 9/00. Statut Grada Novske, 26.09.2001. Službeni vjesnik, br. 17/01
The symbols are very simply descirbed, and without the images from Grad Novska <www.novska.hr>, I would be in doubt how to represent that correctly. My English translation of the blazon is (and is equally dificult to represent from blazon only): The coat of arms is gules a cross double parted argent. The flag is blue with the coat of arms bordered yellow in the middle.
