Overview

At <www.glasila.hr> there is Odluka o odabiru motiva za izradu idejnog rješenja grba i zastave Opcine Sunja, 12. studenog 2002. Službeni vjesnik br. 21/02, 13. studenoga 2002.
The community decided on the symbols and began process for their approval by the Ministry. The adopted proposal for the coat of arms is a rectangular shield shape of light blue background with five white wheels 2:1:2, and the flag of yellow background with the coat of arms in the middle. The ceremonial flag elements are also adopted -  rectangular with four tails, two oak branches beneath the coat of arms and name of the community within a ribbon above it.
Sunja is a community in Sisak-Moslavina County, some 20 km south east from Sisak on the right bank of Sava river - actaully on Sunja river that from that point flows parallely with Sava for an other 20 or so kilometers.

Since the coat of arms in the form as it is described on the ceremonial flag is now shown of the community pages at <www.sunja.hr>, I assume that the design was in the meantime approved and is used now.
