Overview

Sv. Fuilip i Jakov is a community in Zadar County some 20 km south of Zadar , just north of Biograd na moru. It is a well known summer resort. It has 4,500 inhabitants.
The coat of arms is azure a bar gemel or and overall a crozier argent in pale. The coat of arms is rather frequently used (in comparison with coat of arms of other communities in the region I think I have seen it unnumbered of times on all possible spots), most frequently in the "ceremonial" version  ornamented with an olive and a vine branch. This may indicate that there is also a ceremonial flag in similar design, but I have no other "hints" for that.
As the matter of fact, I have not seen the flag of Sv. Filip i Jakov even if it is most certainly adopted.
The place is named after the patrons - Saint Philip and Jacob. The crozier stands for their pastoral work, while the double bar symbolically stand for the two saints.
I estimate that the coat of arms was adopted around 1998.
