The coat of arms of Zapresic is blazoned quartered Azure
and Argent, a Cross counterchanged. The flag is yellow with
the coat of arms in the middle. According to an unconfirmed
story, the yellow colour of the flag is chosen by the influence
of the papal flags, as the flag was being adopted in the time
immediately following the visit of pope John Paul II to Croatia
in 1994. Zapresic was incorporated into city of Zagreb, as
separate community until 1993, and in 1995 it gains the status of
a city. Adopted: around 1995 (?)
