The Community of Križ (Kriz<) is some 25 km south-east of Zagreb, some 5 km SE of Ivanic-grad,
and was until 1997 part of the Sisak-Moslavina County. Population
around 7, 000. The name of the community means literelly 'cross'
and one would expect a canting Coat of Arms, but alas...
The Coat of Arms used by the community,
apparently from quite some time possibly since around 1997 is an
unheraldic device combining elements of lowland landscape the
church belfry tower from the main village and an oak leaf.
According to <www.opcina-kriz.hr>
the emblem is still used, and that would mean that there is most
probably not flag approved to go with it.
