Pisarovina is a community almost due south of Zagreb some 25 km near the Kupa river.
The community counts only about 4,000 inhabitants, but the second
largest village Jamnica is sight of excellent mineral water
sources, though which Jamnica is reknown not only in Croatia as
one of the most prominent Croatian exports. The pure natural
waters are also resource for sweet-water fish inducstry. The two
have found way into the coat of arms of Pisarovina: Vert a
fountain massoned argent and in base a catfish or. Most probably
there is also a flag to got with it, and probably the ceremonial
flag, too, but at the moment I have no more info. The soruce for
the image is an image feretted from Internet by Ivan Grbac, who
forwarded it to me in October 2003, but unfortunately, he has not
preserved the origin address (and I have not located it on-line
afterwards).
