Budapest VII. district Community of Erzsébetváros - No flag,
no CoA yet (maybe in November). The CoA of Budapest V. was used before 1998
(information from the office, but the lady didn't told me who
used that CoA).

The district will have a flag with the CoA's colours. They
will be Blue, Red and White. There is a political debate in the
district because of the proposals of the CoA's which appeared at
MIÉP site (defunct). The page showing the proposals is the page
of the rightside party: MIÉP. (Hungarian Truth and Life Party).

Ole Andersen asked if there is a Jewish connection.
The answer is yes. about 15.000 Jews live in the district. There
is the largest synagogue in Europe.
Not only MIEP doesn't want this CoA. The FKGP, and FIDESZ too.
They are in the opposition in the district. The gipsy community
in the district also said: Why is the Jewish symbol on the CoA
and why not the gipsy one? There are cca. 18.000 gipsy in the
district.

I have got this letter from Miss Eszter Salamon, personal
secretary of Mr. Zoltán Szabó, Mayor of Erzsébetváros: "
(...) I'm sorry, but the district have no flag and any symbols
yet. (...)"
