Description

Local Council Rekhasim (meaning mountain ridges) is situated in Zvulun valley, 12 km from Haifa between Qiryat Ata and Nesher. Est. 1952 and has 7,000 inh. On my visit on 1 September 2001 there was no flag besides the national flag on the city hall, but a flag showing a blue emblem on a white field, with a semicircular inscription above, was spotted on the local civil guard point (across the city hall). Here is a photograph of the flag — the inscription above the emblem in my image should be semicircular. Sources: author's own observation, 1 September 2001; this webpage.

The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), YP 1816, 13 April 1972.
