Description

Regional Council Lahish (pronounced Lakhish) is situated in Ashqelon subdistrict, around Qiryat Gat. Named after an ancient town with that name, it was proclaimed on 18 October 1956 (but started its activities a year before) and has 6,000 inh. in 15 settlements.

The flag has been reported as a emblem on monochrome field, colours yet to be confirmed so meanwhile I drew a basic design. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 633, 13 November 1958.
