Description

Regional Council Shafir (biblical reference to Micha 1,11) is situated in the centre Ashqelon subdistrict spreading NW to the SW of Qiryat-Gat. Est. 1950 with 7,000 inh. in 14 settlements of the religious Zionists movements. About its unofficial flag I couldn't get better information then "emblem on monochrome field" so I drew a basic design and I hope to get information on the colours in use in the future. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut ha'Pirsumim), YP 968, 25 October 1962.
