Introduction

Israel Nature and National Parks Protection Authority is a government organization appointed on all nature reserves and national gardens in Israel. Founded in 1998 by joining two separate authorities operating since 1964. I am not sure about the colour of the inscription. More information at its website.

During my visit on 17 September 2001 to Achziv National Park, a garden keeper showed me the two variants of the Nature and Parks Authority flags, which differ in the inscription. According to the garden keeper, the old flag bore the inscription Ha'reshut le'Shmirat ha'Teva ve-Ha'ganim ha'Leumiyyim (Nature and National Parks Protection Authority), the full name of the authority, while the new one has the short name Reshut ha'Teva ve'ha'Ganim (Nature and Parks Authority) and reversed colors.
