An over all figure signifies bright dream of prosperous county with rapid progress of inhabitants and infinite possibility of development of the Ongjin, through rising sun above the sea vigorously.

A wave rising into the center of the sun symbolizes vivid inhabitants living on the sea and the sun surrounding a wave expresses metaphorically inhabitants of the Ongjin with harmonious principles of nature and with open mind of giving all visitors a warm reception.

The trinity of the sun, a sea and a wave illustrates county, inhabitants and heaven's blessing of the Ongjin.

Especially, the sun and a wave means the initial letter "O" and "J" respectively.

And the blue and Orange color presents an enterprising spirit and promising future of the Ongjin.
