The Presidential flag

Recently I saw a photo of Mr. Ulmanis, the Latvian president, with a folded flag behind. It is like a Latvian naval ensign (white with a maroon-white-maroon cross) and with CoA in the canton. Probably it is the presidential flag of Latvia. Could anybody confirm that?
Jan Zrzavy, 14 December 1997

Yes, this was confirmed to me by Latvian Embassy in Paris. You can find it in corr 26 of French Navy Flag book (Album des Pavillons).
Armand Noel du Payrat, 15 December 1997

I believe that the described flag is the premier minister one. The presidential flag has the shield in the center of the cross.
Jaume Olle, 16 December 1997

Here is the image of the Presidential flag from <www.president.lv> . This is the ONLY
flag of the President of Latvia. The central part of it is also included in a bit magnified format.
Renars Urbanovics, 3 May 1999

According to Album 2000 [pay00] - President of the Republic (2:3) - Flag like naval ensign with white rectangular pannel in the middle containing the national coat of arms. According to [neu92] the height of the rectangle is 1/3 of hoist, with length as needed to accommodate the CoA.
