The flag of the Comanav shipping company (ashariqa almagrebia almilaha) is white with a red border and in the white the national star of Maroc in green.

The English version of the Arabic name given would be "Moroccan Navigation Company." I would assume Comanav is the French acronym for the same name.

The company was founded as the Compagnie Franco-Chérifienne de Navigation (CFCN) in 1946. The epithet "chérifien" refers to the Arab word "charif", the title given to a Moslim prince descending from Muhamat by Ali and Fatima. Since the current Moroccan dynasty is cherifian, the Kingdom of Morocco is often nicknamed in French "the Cherifian Kingdom", and "chérifien" is sometime
