Baarle-Nassau municipality
The Dutch municipality of Baarle-Nassau has, like most Dutch municipalities,
it's own flag: red/white (from the old arms) and blue/yellow (from the
new arms). This flag was adopted 20 August 1965, and was designed by the
well-known Dutch (Frisian) vexillologist Klaes Sierksma.
Mark Sensen, 22 February 1996
Description of the flag
Left Azure, Right Gules. Billet of Gold. Three fesses coupe of Silver.
The proportions between azure and gules is 2:3. The silver fesses run
to about one third of the azure. The golden billet is hanging in the middle
between the upper fess and the hoist.
