Municipal flag

Apeldoorn is an extensive municipality in the Veluwe forest area, north of Arnhem, with the royal domain 'Het Loo' (meaning 'wood').
The flag was unofficial in 1962; the eagle has been derived from the municipal CoA, which was the CoA of the noble van Apeldoorn family (which had nothing to do with Apeldoorn, according to Sierksma)
