Carisbrooke Shipping Holland B.V. The flag is that of the parent UK company. Brown 1995 shows it with the letters spread apart being towards their respective corners but a funnel photo shows the letters touching as a single design in line with the company website image so it appears that the flag shown here is correct except that a slight division is shown between the two
unlike on the logo.

Soetermeer, Fekkes

[Soetermeer, Fekkes flag] by Jarig Bakker, 28 Oct 2003

Soetermeer, Fekkes' Cargadoorskantoor (SFCK), Rotterdam (a cargadoor is a guy standing on a bridge in wintery conditions, and when a cart can't make it up the bridge he helps for a small fee - it's also a ship-broker)
flag: white with a blue St. George's cross; on each quart blue letters SFCK.

Soetermeer, Fekkes' Cargadoorskantoor B.V. Somewhat more than a man on a bridge, the company dates from 1916 and has been a shipowner in its time although it now states that it is a manager only. The flag shown here, originating from the Carisbrooke link, is incorrectly displayed as the cross fesse point is a diamond (may possibly be a circle) and a better example can be seen on continuing onto their own site www.sfck.nl but here the letters appear to be black (certainly not the light blue of the cross) and are placed more central on the quarters. There also appears to have been a previous flag in that the Brown series from 1929 to 1978 show black letters together with a green cross (with the diamond fesse point) although the 1951 edition deletes the letters but this is probably an error. Their connection with Carisbrooke appears to be a working relationship.
