About the flag

Fedje municipality is situated in Hordaland county.

The small community of Fedje lies towards the sea and consists of the main island of Fedje and a range of smaller islands. Only 700 people live in the community. The fisheries industry is important to the people of Fedje, and both the natural setting and the maritime traditions are reflected in the flag design approved by Royal resolution dated 13 July 1990. The field of the flag is blue and is charged with a pair of oars placed diagonally towards the hoist from the lower fly end. The heraldic designer Even Jarl Skoglund was responsible for developing the design.
