I'm just "walking" through your flag web site. It is really interesting. I'd like to send you another: municipal flag of city of Jastrzebie Zdroj (county of the same name - this city is a county for itself only). Jastrzębie Zdrój is a town of 100 thousand inhabitants situated at the foot of the Beskidy Mountains, in the southern part of the Upper Silesian, near the border with Czech Republic. In 1859 while driving exploratory boreholes for coal, saline deposit has been found. In 1861 the first spring house was opened. The health resort experienced its full bloom and splendour, when dr Mikołaj Witczak was its owner. In those days set of a health resort enriched itself the next buildings and the spa quickly became one of the most exclusive resorts in Europe. Outbreak of World War Two stopped development of the health resort. After World War Two, buildings were restored and the health resort was set on foot again. In 1951 intensive geological searches brought about discovery the large seams of pit-coal. In the years 1962 to 1974 five coal mines were built. Jastrzębie Zdrój received city rights in 1963.
