The assembly of the Silesian vojvodship (Śląskie) on 11 June adopted
its CoA and flag. The CoA, proposed already 29 Jan 2001, is: "Azure an
eagle or." The flag consists of three horizontal stripes (2-1-2) - blue,
yellow and blue, the colors of the CoA
Proportions 5:8. After the emblems were approved by the State Heraldic
Committee, they were adopted with 37 for and 2 against by the regional
assembly. The eagle is the emblem of the Piast dynasty. The CoA has been
designed by Barbara Widłak, from the Arts Academy in Kraków. Flag and CoA
are here.

On Adam Kromer's
site are two flags for Silesia: A BYB hor triband and a banner of arms.
Adam Kromer's BoA is gold on light blue; I have used the CoA on the vojvodship
webpage and replaced "or" by yellow. Adam has named this "FLAGA
URZĘDOWA", something like State flag.
