The Flag

The new flag is at pueblos-de-puertorico.com site (defunct): a white field with new Coat of Arms. Trujillo Alto is is in northeast Puerto Rico; it was founded in 1801 (?) and there are 61,120 Trujillanos; it is known as the pueblo of "Los Arrecostaos".

The Coat ofArms as well as the flag were changed by the present municipal administration by means of Ordinance 19, 1997-98 series, of May 29, 1998. The flag appears to be 8:9 in size. So I draw it that way.

Previous Flag

I located a flag from pueblos-de-puertorico.com site (defunct) which is the old flag, also to be found on lexjuris site, based on the old Coat of Arms. This was designed in 1973; the dots stand for the 13 provinces of the kings of Castilla y Aragón. The flag was designed in 1982 by Pedro R. Díaz, and had as motive the 'Olimpiadas Jíbaras', celebrated by the municipios.
