It is a quite typical portuguese municipal flag, with the coat of arms
centered on a plain red background. The coat of arms is argent a castle
gules issuant from a ground sable stoned argent, in counterchief a wavy
fess argent with two wavy fesslets vert covered by a fishing net or (pardon
my grotesque blazoning). Mural crown argent with four visible towers
(town rank) and white scroll reading in black
upper case letters "VILA DE CASCAIS".
